FIREARM THEFT INVESTIGATION LEADS TO THE ARREST OF 4 ADULTS AND 1 JUVENILE - APRIL 23, 2010 |

On April 21, 2010 the Millard County Sheriff's Office took a report from a Scipio woman who reported that her son had stolen two firearms from her home. Sheriff Robert Dekker advises a short time later, Deputies made a traffic stop on a car driven by the son. A strong odor of marijuana was detected in the car and deputies found a baggie of suspected marijuana along with drug paraphernalia in the car. The 17 year old boy was arrested for theft of firearms along with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and taken to the Slate Canyon Detention Center in Provo. Passengers in the car Stacy May Jackson, age 24, Jesse Scott Blackburn, age 20, and Dezerae Walker, age 18, were arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. On further investigation, the guns were recovered and Ricky Joe Prows, age 49, was arrested for possession of firearms by a restricted person.
