COUNTERFEIT MONEY BEING PASSED - JULY 27, 2010
Tuesday, 27 July 2010 15:02

Sheriff Dekker would like to remind local businesses to be mindful of counterfeit money.  Over the July 24th holiday weekend there were four counterfeit $50.00 bills passed in the East Millard County area.  These bills were $5.00 bills that had been “washed” and made to look like $50.00 bills.  The bills look authentic but if you look close the security strip within the bill indicates it is a $5.00 bill.  Please use extra caution when accepting larger bills.  If you have accepted a possible counterfeit bill or suspect someone of attempting to pass a counterfeit bill please contact the Millard County Sheriff’s Office, 435-743-5302.

Safe Tip
