During late July and early August, deputies from the Millard County Sheriff’s Office responded to calls of several automobile burglaries within the Fillmore area.  On August 5, 2012 deputies investigating the cases arrested three male juveniles, ages 15, 16, and 17, and one female juvenile age 15.  Each of the juveniles were charged with Burglary of an Automobile and Theft, and transported to the Slate Canyon Detention Center in Provo.  Linda O’Brien, age 42, of Fillmore was arrested for Obstruction of Justice for actions relating to one of the cases.  She was booked into the Millard County Jail.

Safe Tip

Con-artists are not always easy to spot. Smart, extremely persuasive, and aggressive, they invade your home through the telephone and the mail, advertise in reputable newspapers and magazines, and come to your door. Most people think they’re too smart to fall for a scam. But con artists rob all kinds of people from investment counselors and doctors to teenagers and elderly widows of billions every year. It’s up to you to say NO. Use common sense and learn about old and new scams.
