On the afternoon of November 14, 2012 the Millard County Sheriff’s Office was called to the Millard County Credit Union in Fillmore to investigate two counterfeit $20 bills. The two bills were taken at an unknown local business. The discrepancies on these $20 bills include; no security strips, no reflective sheen on the number 20 in the lower right hand corner, and no reflective sheen on the shield to the right of President Jackson’s picture. Sheriff Dekker asks all businesses and resident in Millard County to be on the look out for more of these counterfeit bills, in any denomination. It is unknown how many were passed in our area.

Safe Tip

Think carefully before buying a firearm for protection. Guns can be stolen and sold to anyone, or captured and used on you or the police. If you do own a gun, keep it locked up with the ammunition secured separately and learn how to use it safely.
