Tuesday, 29 October 2013 08:07

On the morning of October 25, 2013, a Millard County Sheriff’s Deputy stopped a speeding driver in the Baker Canyon area on I-15. Because of the drive’s conduct and other circumstances, the deputy decided to deploy a K-9 around the outside of the car. The dog gave a positive indication for drugs in the car. The car was searched and approximately five pounds of cocaine and five pounds of methamphetamine were found inside. The driver, Ronald Christopher Harris, age 46, of Las Vegas, Nevada was arrested and booked into the Millard County Jail on charges of Possession of Drugs with the Intent to Distribute.

Safe Tip

Con-artists are not always easy to spot. Smart, extremely persuasive, and aggressive, they invade your home through the telephone and the mail, advertise in reputable newspapers and magazines, and come to your door. Most people think they’re too smart to fall for a scam. But con artists rob all kinds of people from investment counselors and doctors to teenagers and elderly widows of billions every year. It’s up to you to say NO. Use common sense and learn about old and new scams.
