Dee Ray Humphries, age 83 of Delta, who has been missing since late June was found in Nevada.  Mr. Humphries’ car was located on a little used dirt road about three miles south of Highway 722, sixty miles east of Fallon during the late afternoon on Friday, August 16.  The Churchill County Sheriff’s Office searched the area until dark, and resumed the search early the next morning.  Humphries’ body was located about on quarter mile south of the car in an area of sage brush and juniper trees.  No foul play is suspected and the Churchill County Coroner issued a preliminary finding of accidental death due to extreme weather conditions.

Millard County Sheriff’s deputies were en route to Fallon when the body was found.  They continued and met with Churchill County deputies and members of the Humphries family to coordinate final investigative efforts.

Safe Tip

Con-artists are not always easy to spot. Smart, extremely persuasive, and aggressive, they invade your home through the telephone and the mail, advertise in reputable newspapers and magazines, and come to your door. Most people think they’re too smart to fall for a scam. But con artists rob all kinds of people from investment counselors and doctors to teenagers and elderly widows of billions every year. It’s up to you to say NO. Use common sense and learn about old and new scams.
