ATV THEFTS IN DELTA AREA - OCTOBER 27, 2013
Tuesday, 29 October 2013 08:04

During the past few weeks, three off highway vehicles have been stolen from yards in Delta. One was recovered the following day.

On the evening of October 27, 2013 the ongoing investigation led Millard County Sheriff’s Deputies to the Lynndyl area. One ATV was recovered. Arturo Orona, age 20, Horacio Orona, age 18, and a 17 year old juvenile, all from Delta, were arrested. The two adults were booked into the Millard County Jail and the juvenile was taken to the Slate Canyon Youth Detention Center in Provo, for possession of stolen property. Two other subjects were detained for a time and released because there was not sufficient evidence at this time to connect them to the crime. The investigation is continuing, and additional charges and arrests are pending.

Safe Tip

Con-artists are not always easy to spot. Smart, extremely persuasive, and aggressive, they invade your home through the telephone and the mail, advertise in reputable newspapers and magazines, and come to your door. Most people think they’re too smart to fall for a scam. But con artists rob all kinds of people from investment counselors and doctors to teenagers and elderly widows of billions every year. It’s up to you to say NO. Use common sense and learn about old and new scams.
